How the Kathmandu Valley Exploration tour package will unfold?
Our tour will begin with the famous Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus. Then we will head towards the two main stupas of Nepal; Budhanilkantha Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa. On the same day, we will explore the famous Patan Durbar Square, one of the three Durbar squares in Nepal. The first-day tour will be a mix of both religious and heritage tours.
The next day will begin early with a mesmerizing sunrise at Nagarkot and then move towards Bhaktapur for an amazing day of sightseeing. We will also visit Changunarayan Temple on the same day. Then, late in the evening, we will head back to Kathmandu and on the next day, you will be escorted to the airport for departure.
Kathmandu Valley
It is the most developed and biggest city in Nepal. The bowl-shaped valley is located in the Himalayan mountains and it acts as the entry gate for tourists coming to Nepal. The Tribhuvan International Airport located in Kathmandu is the biggest and the busiest airport used by thousands of travelers coming to Nepal on an everyday basis. Kathmandu is also known as the hub of culture and heritage sites as there are 7 UNESCO World Heritage sites in the valley, the most popular being the Pashupatinath Temple, the most sacred site for Hindus in Nepal.

Arrival: After you arrive at the Kathmandu Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. Take some rest at the hotel for the next 4 most exciting days of your life.
7:00 PM: In the evening, there will be a short briefing organized by our representative. During this briefing, our representative will brief you about how your next 10 days will unfold. If you have any queries regarding the trip, you can ask our representative during the briefing.
*If you have free time in the evening, you can take a stroll in the local market of Kathmandu and try lip-smacking Nepalese cuisine.
9:00 AM: We will begin our day with the famous Pashupatinath Temple, the most sacred pilgrimage site. Take blessing from Lord Pashupatinath and enjoy the calmness. Our next stop will be Boudhunath Stupa, just 2 km away from Pashupatinath Temple. Enjoy the biggest stupa in the world and then you can head back to the cafes and restaurants near the stupa to have your lunch. Swayambhunath Stupa will be our next stop and to reach there, we will cover a distance of 11.8 km on the road. The stupa is more popularly known as the Monkey Temple. Our final destination of the day will be Kathmandu Durbar Square (2.2 km from Swyambunath Stupa). After touring Kathmandu Durbar Square, we will head to Nagarkot. Check-in at the hotel and unwind.
Pashupatinath Temple
This is one of the most significant places for Hindus from a pilgrimage perspective. Every day, thousands of devotees travel to Nepal with only one goal; to offer prayer and seek blessings at the Pashupatinath Temple. On festivals like Mahashivratri and Sankranti, Teej, Grahan, and Rakshabandhan, the entire temple transforms into a joyous and celebratory place, and even the number of people who come to visit the temple doubles during this period. The pagoda construction of the temple is what represents the traditional architecture of Nepal.
Boudhunath Stupa
Another popular tourist destination and a center for Buddhist worship. According to the locals and the stories, there was a monarch of the Nepalese Licchavi Kingdom who built this stupa in the 5th century CE and then it was further extended in the 14th century CE. The full diameter of the stupa is around 100 meters. It is the biggest stupa in Nepal and also in the entire South Asia region. The height of the stupa is 36 meters and there are many constructions around the stupa, each one of them with its history and uniqueness.
Swayambhunath Stupa
If you wish to know more about the Buddhist culture and way of living then there is no better place in Nepal than the Swayambhunath Stupa. Upon entering the premises of this temple, you will feel a different type of positive energy and spiritual awakening. Many shops around the stupa sell all the items related to the Buddhist culture like Buddhist food, praying items, and much more. Also, this is the best spot in Kathmandu to get a bird-eye view of the entire city as the stupa is located at the top of a hill.
Kathmandu Durbar Square
A marvelous historical location with shrines, temples, and some of the finest pieces of traditional Nepalese architecture. it is a pleasant place to just wander and soak up the atmosphere of the square which once used to serve as the royal palace of the kings of Nepal. There is a long list of kings of Nepal who have been crowned in this durbar square. Also, you can explore different cafes and restaurants around the durbar squrae.
4:45 AM: You will have to wake up early on the 3rd day if you don’t wish to miss the most spectacular show of nature; Nagarkot Sunrise. The sun rising from the middle of the mountain ranges with sky changing the color and the mountains coming alive gives you a once-in-lifetime view that will never fade away from your memory. Take some pictures, enjoy the sunrise, and then head back to the hotel for breakfast.
10:00 AM: After breakfast, we will begin our Bhaktapur tour. Our first stop will be Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Roam around the square that once used to be a royal palace, and explore the shrines, temples, and beautiful architecture. After that, we will head towards 55 Window Palace. The palace got its name from the 55 beautifully carved windows. Our last destination of the day will be Pottery Square, the ceramic industry of Nepal. Finally, we will head towards Kathmandu. It will take around 30 minutes to cover the distance of 15 km from Bhaktapur to Kathmandu.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square
This is the best place to visit if you want to know more about the rich culture of the country. The ancient town was built a long time ago and still, the durbar square serves as the traditional hub of the city. This is one of the three durbar squares located in Nepal and there are many temples and shrines inside the square.
55 Window Palace
This is one of the most popular palaces in Nepal and it was built by King Jitamitra Malla. The palace was built with 55 windows for the 55 wives of King Jitamitra Malla. During the era of King Jitamitra Malla, the parda system was practiced by all the royal families, and therefore, queens were not allowed to freely roam around the city. To kill the boredom, the 55 windows were installed in the palace so that queens could enjoy the market, festivals, and other things on the street without breaking the parda norm. The palace was built in the 18th century and still, this palace serves as Bhaktapur's Royal Palace during ceremonial occasions.
Pottery Square
This square once used to be the heart of the ceramic industry of Nepal. Still, this place offers a unique experience to witness pottery making in action. Travelers can see the Prajapati community using natural skills and materials to carve geometrically perfect shapes. The skill and creativity of the Prajapati community are exceptional. Visitors can also learn about the challenges, customs, and lifestyles of the Prajapati community. For this community, pottery is their livelihood and they have been practicing it for centuries.
Have your fulfilling breakfast at the hotel in Kathmandu as you after the completion of your breakfast, you will be escorted to the airport by our representative, 3 hours before the arrival of your flight. Our representative will bid farewell and wish you a happy journey.
