How is the weather in Nepal? |
Monsoon Season (June to August)- During the monsoon season, the entire country experiences sudden sharp pour downs but then some specific mountain areas remain under the shelter of the Himalayas and that’s why they stay dry. The upper Mustang area and part of the Annapurna circuit receive only 30mm of rain while the Pokhara region is welcomed with 850mm of rain. Even when the monsoon season is at its peak, it's rare for Nepal to receive continuous rain for many days. Winter Season (November to February) - All the high-altitude areas of Nepal that are above 3,000 meters of sea level receive snow and remain cold during the peak winter season. The temperature in these areas can plummet to -10°C. Even in Kathmandu Valley, the temperature can drop to 3°C. This is why it is necessary to carry warm clothes while traveling to Nepal in winter. This is the best time to visit Pokhara and go for wildlife exploration in Chitwan. But visitors must carry warm clothes while exploring Nepal in winter. Spring Season (March April)- The spring season raises the temperature and the hillside flowers begin to blossom. Because of the enhanced beauty and colorful landscape, the spring season has automatically become a tourist’s favorite season to explore Nepal and that's when our request list gets inundated with inquiries about Nepal Holiday packages. The sky is clear, daylight lasts longer in the evening and that’s why this season is ideal for outdoor activities and sightseeing. Summer Season (June to August)- The temperature during the summer season in Nepal ranges between 20–35°C and at night it is between 15–18°C. Rain hitting its peak during the summer season is not something uncommon in Nepa. The rain reaches its peak in August flash floods might cause a little bit of trouble for visitors. If you are well prepared for the rain and wake up early in the morning, Nepal has a lot to offer its tourists during the summer season, especially cultural pursuits. |
